Meet Our Speaker

Chris Rieth joined Socrata’s team in May to help government, nonprofit and NGO leaders find new and exciting ways to measure performance, improve transparency, and empower citizens to better understand and track progress towards a better future. Prior to joining Socrata, Chris served as a senior aide to Governor Martin O’Malley, where he worked side-by-side with Governor O’Malley to push performance government to the next level.

Chris has been a steadfast proponent of public sector innovation, and is focused on putting data to work to help the public sector make and share progress, engage citizens in new and exciting ways, and help solve some of the most pressing shared public policy challenges.

Chris graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a degree in political science, and is currently an MBA candidate at the George Mason University School of Management.
